Evelyn Johnson, Grandmother Raven to those who love her, is a grandmother many times over and a wealth of wisdom and life experiences. As a young girl, she grew up raising chickens and developed a deep understanding of their behavior and personalities. With 26 great-grandchildren, Evelyn has always been a natural storyteller, often creating imaginative tales to keep them entertained. It was during one of these storytelling sessions that she came up with the idea of Night Chicken, a brave and adventurous chicken who finds herself living in a garden shed and becoming the guardian of the night. Evelyn's stories captivated not only her great-grandchildren but also her entire community, leading her to write them down and share them with the world.
With the help of her grandson Elias and his lifelong childhood friend (and the little girl from next door who used to pester Grandma Raven for more stories - Catherine, Nod-Nod, Reynolds) the stories of Shy the Night Chicken are now available for everyone to enjoy.
